Troubleshooting in Cubase VST

This document contains information related to problems that can occur with your

hardware setup. Some problems manifest themselves not just as simple hardware

errors, but may have subtle effects on the working of the program as a whole.

Please refer to the “Getting Started” manual for general information on how to ad-

just your settings. For more detailed information, please read the chapter: “Opti-

mizing Audio Performance” in the online documentation (Getting Into the Details).

That chapter will also give you a comprehensive introduction to hardware related

issues such as the ones that will be discussed here.We recommend that you read

that chapter ﬁrst.

Furthermore, while reading this chapter you will notice that some recommended

solutions are similar for different types of problems. This is due to the fact that the

performance of your system is the result of many different interrelated factors and

that problems with your hardware setup can cause a wide variety of symptoms.
